Jerry Hooten works as a consultant to mystery writers providing information on police procedures, weapons and surveillance techniques. He's written two books relying on his experience in the law enforcement industry. |
Mr. Giovannini was born in a small town in the Italian Alps. He is a Drake University alumnus and has lived in Des Moines since 1976. He works in cancer epidemiology research for the State Health Registry of Iowa. |

C. Allyn Pierson returns to the CPL to talk about her most recent book, "Through the Valley of the Shadow." She draws inspiration from the works of her favorite author, Jane Austen. Her second book of The Darcy Chronicles, "Through the Valley of the Shadow", is a Regency-era mystery novel. |

Jeffrey Martin is currently a Federal Law Enforcement Officer in Des Moines, Iowa. Jeff’s main reason for creating his books is to entertain the readers, and have them remember the novel long after the last page is turned. |

Shirley Damsgaard didn't begin writing until the age of 48. Her seventh book, "The Seventh Witch" featuring Ophelia and Abby has just been published. She received an Agatha Award nomination for her book "Witch Way to Murder" in 2006. |
